Sequel Studio reimagines the Sequel workspace for the modern office.

CHANTILLY, VA — Spring 2026 — BDI introduces Sequel Studio, a new office collection that builds on the legacy of the award-winning Sequel Office collection—BDI’s cornerstone workspace system known for its thoughtfully engineered design and integrated functionality.

Designed by Matthew Weatherly, Sequel Studio carries forward the same commitment to intelligent workspace solutions that has defined Sequel for years, expressed through a light, contemporary design language and a focused four-piece system designed for today’s evolving work environments.

Built around four essential components—the Desk, Return, Mobile File Pedestal, and Multifunction Cabinet—Sequel Studio supports up to 15 practical workspace configurations, allowing users to create adaptable workspaces that grow with changing needs.

Materials designed for modern work

Sequel Studio introduces a material palette pairing satin-etched Dune glass with warm bronze accents and durable engineered surfaces.

Precisely matched finishes ensure long-term consistency across all components, allowing additional pieces to be added over time while maintaining a cohesive workspace. The satin-etched glass desktop provides a soft matte work surface that resists glare while offering durability for everyday use.

These materials combine strength, stability, and easy maintenance—making Sequel Studio well-suited for both residential offices and professional environments.

Designed to grow over time

With its modular structure and precisely matched finishes, Sequel Studio allows workspaces to evolve over time. Additional components can be introduced as needs change while maintaining a cohesive appearance across the entire system.

Thoughtful design where it matters most

At the center of the collection is the Sequel Studio Desk Model 6601, US MAP $1,699— a clean, architectural workspace designed to keep devices organized and connections neatly managed. Thoughtful details beneath the surface help maintain a clear work area while supporting the technology used throughout the workday.

Key design features include:

  • Central power hub with integrated power strip

  • Removable front and rear cable access panels

  • Interior cable management system

  • Keyboard/storage drawer with non-slip liner

  • Satin-etched glass desktop

The remaining components of the system extend the functionality of the desk while maintaining the cohesive design language of the collection.

Return | Model 6612, US MAP $599

Designed to mount to either the Desk or Multifunction Cabinet, the Return expands usable workspace while maintaining the clean architectural lines of the system.

Mobile File Pedestal | Model 6607, US MAP $799

Compact and secure, the Mobile File Pedestal rolls easily on locking casters and provides organized storage for letter or legal hanging files.

Multifunction Cabinet | Model 6617, US MAP $1,599

A versatile companion to the desk system, the Multifunction Cabinet combines secure storage with practical workspace support, featuring a pull-out printer tray, locking drawers, and a file drawer.

Currently in production, Sequel Studio will begin shipping late Spring 2026.

The Heart of the Story

The Sequel legacy continues with a focused new workspace system

For over 15 years, BDI’s Sequel Office collection—one of the company’s most celebrated workspace systems—has helped define thoughtfully engineered workspaces, combining refined design with practical solutions for the realities of modern work.

With the new Sequel Studio collection, BDI introduces a new branch of that legacy: a streamlined office system built around the same commitment to thoughtful design and everyday functionality that has made Sequel a favorite among retailers and designers.

Built from just four essential components, Sequel Studio supports up to 15 flexible workspace configurations, making it easy to create adaptable work environments without unnecessary complexity. Clean architectural lines, durable engineered materials, and a refined finish palette gives the collection a distinctive presence while maintaining the thoughtful design that defines the Sequel family.

Sequel has always had a clear identity, so the intention was not to reinvent it, but to understand how it
could evolve. By introducing new materials and refined functionality, Sequel Studio extends the collection
while remaining grounded in the principles that define it.
— Matthew Weatherly | Designer

At the center of the system is a carefully engineered desk with integrated power access, cable management, and hidden storage—supported by a return, mobile file pedestal, and multifunction cabinet that expand the workspace while maintaining a cohesive design language.

Sequel Studio demonstrates that an intelligently designed office doesn’t require complexity. With just a few thoughtfully considered elements, it delivers flexibility, durability, and the confidence of design that works as beautifully as it looks.
